Bigger slice images and hover previews
- Slice images can now show large across the whole slice instead of just a small icon, set picture by picture.
- On a computer, point at a slice to preview its picture and jump straight to that entry in your list.
- The public gallery now loads much faster, especially wheels that use pictures.
- Shared wheel links and embedded wheels now open much faster too.
- Signing up now points you straight to your inbox and lets you resend the confirmation email.
- Picture wheels like Pokemon Roulette now keep every slice image saved on your device, so they still look right offline.
Dark mode fixes and a small typing bug
- Fixed the wheel title and description eating spaces while you typed, so multi-word titles work correctly again.
- Fixed several buttons and highlights across the app that looked washed out or hard to see in dark mode.
- The spin button label now shows a character counter, so you can see when you've hit the limit.
Faster first visit
- The app no longer downloads every unused image and script on first load. It caches what you actually use, and still works offline after that.
Tidier shared wheel pages
- Your custom logo can no longer cover the title on a shared wheel, and in fullscreen you can park it right up beside the toolbar.
- The WheelOfNames.io name no longer gets cut off at the top of a shared wheel on small phones.
- When you add your own logo to a shared wheel, it now takes the description's place, so the page stays clean with just your title and logo.
Bigger wheels and easier navigation from shared wheels
- Choose what your shared wheel shows: our branding, the title, and the description, all from the new eye button in the toolbar.
- Shared wheel pages now show a link back to the home page, so you can start your own wheel in one click.
- Wheels now hold up to 500 entries, so a full class roster, raffle list, or tournament bracket fits on one wheel. Entries with images stay capped at 100.
- Wheels with more than 100 entries now show colour bands instead of labels too small to read, and the winner is announced in the result panel as usual.
- Winner images now magnify the winning slice under a pane of glass, so even the thinnest slice is easy to spot when you share your result.
Sharing and entry list fixes
- The Share dialog now always shows your wheel's current title, including one you just created with AI.
- The select tool is hidden in Text mode, where there are no rows to select.
- Click your wheel's title or description to edit it, no need to hunt through the menu.
- Sharing now asks you to name your wheel instead of filling in a default title for you.
Account settings and a Copyright Policy page
- New Account settings page lets you permanently delete your account and the shared wheels you own.
- Added a Copyright Policy page explaining how to report a copyright concern about shared content.
- New Cookie Settings link in the footer so you can review your cookie choices anytime.
- Updated our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions with clearer details.
Smarter AI suggestions
- Describe your idea and let AI build a wheel for you.
- AI suggestions on each tool page now match that tool's topic instead of generic examples.
- The Generate with AI button is hidden on tools with a fixed format, like Yes or No, Coin Flip, and Dice Roller, where it wasn't useful.
- More varied AI suggestion ideas on the homepage, covering teachers, streamers, families, and more.
- Fixed background images, banners, and logos sometimes not saving if your browser ran low on storage. You'll now see a warning instead of silently losing them after a refresh.
Tools categories and display fixes
- New option to hide entry names on the wheel face so images show cleanly. The winner dialog still reveals the name.
- Browse the Tools page by category, with pages for the full list.
- Fixed wheel titles and labels turning invisible over light banner images or backgrounds.
- Cleaned up scrollbars in the entries and settings lists, and fixed a scroll trap on mobile.
- Fixed shared wheels sometimes getting a title that duplicated one of their own entries.
- Speed and reliability improvements across the app.
New: Charades wheels
- Spin to act it out: new charades wheels for game night, for kids, dumb charades (movie names), Christmas, and funny ideas.
- Click or tap anywhere on the wheel to spin it, not just the center button.
